Encephalartos altensteinii x lehmannii

For cycad collectors, Encephalartos altensteinii x lehmannii represents the “holy grail” -- a blue plant with long leaves. But you don't have to be a connoiseur to appreciate these striking, vigorous growers. Leaves are a beautiful blue-silver-green color.

My friend John grew the plant pictured here from a smaller plant he got from us years ago. What a beautiful cross between Encephalartos altensteinii and Encephalartos lehmannii. See how nice it looks in his garden!
