Cycas guizhouensis

Cycas guizhouensis is a medium-sized Cycas native to China’s Guizhou province, its place of origin. Cycas guizhouensis grows in limestone and gravel soil on steep slopes and high bluffs at elevations 1,300 ft above sea level. It has narrow, twisted leaflets and a relatively small stature, producing large cones.

Cycas guizhouensis is a fast-growing plant with an upright habit, which withstands cold well, but needs to be protected from hard frosts. It grows well in temperate and subtropical climates.
