Zamia nesophila is a wonderfully grooved leaf plant from Panama. It grows in islands in the Bocas del Toro region of Panama. The species name "nesophila", means "island-loving" in latin. Its large plicate (grooved) leaves, emerge light green, hardening off to a deep glossy green.
