"As a new member of the Cycad Society with only 2 years of experience in germinating cycad seeds, I've seen a great deal of variation in viability in the seeds I've obtained. I began to think it was simply me, something I was doing wrong.

Then Maurice Levin offered me some cycad seeds. I paid for 20, but he sent 22. In a matter of weeks, more than half have germinated and I fully anticipate another 25% or more will do as well. I used clean perlite, moistened, seed half in-half out with bottom heat at about 80 degrees F, just like always.

To me this is phenomenal--I'm not used to this level of success.

Body: I found about A & A Cycads from gardenwatchdog.com, but there were no reviews so I was a bit concerned. I wrote Maurice an email telling him I wanted to feel out his company before I went ahead and made an order. Not 10 minutes later, I get a phone call at work from Maurice answering my questions. This is a first class operation folks. Customer service is amazing. Trust me, Ive tried to annoy Maurice with all my questions (and there have been a lot), and it just hasnt happened. His cycad selection is the best I have found yet on the internet and his prices are competitive. Maurice is the treasurer of the international cycad society and he has a lot at stake in his business so he cant afford but to have satisfied customers. I am certainly one of them. This is a top notch business thats been around for a long time. If you like cycads, especially rare ones, you should at least give A & A a chance before you spend money somewhere else.
