One of the best ways to buy cycads is to purchase their seeds and germinate them yourself! It's economical, simple, and allows you to create your own breeding colony, if you want to. Each seed is its own "embryonic packet", sending a message to the future, from a plant that has existed for over 250 million years. What you’ll find here are seeds might not find anywhere else, and least not at these prices. It’s our job to scan the globe, to bring you rare seeds you wouldn’t be able to get elsewhere. We like to offer discounts to growers wishing to purchase more than 10 of any particular species; if this is you, please email maurice@cycads.com for more information. Please Also Note: If you are a buyer from outside the USA, there may be other rules and documentation necessary for us to export seeds to you. It is your responsibility to verify this with your governmental authorities and notify us prior to shipping. Any costs related to necessary permits and/or documentation are the responsibility of the buyer. In the case of CITES Appendix I species (Encephalartos, Stangeria and Ceratozamia), these seeds require CITES Export and Import permits in order to send them outside the USA. For CITES Export Permits, we charge a $250.00 non-refundable fee, plus a $75 Phytosanitary Certificate fee, to obtain the necessary permits for shipment outside the USA.
