This permit is required for all plant shipments to nearly every location in the United States, if you have a shipping addresse outside of California. It is a requirement of state and county agriculture departments in the states to which we ship, and guarantees that you will receive your plants without risk of quarantine or confiscation. WHAT IS CAUDEX SIZE? You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size. The caudex is a cycad’s woody, bulblike trunk, and caudex size is a good measure of cycad age. The chart below can give you a rough idea of how this translates to pot size.
