| Visit our NurseryWe are located at 11801 Stagg Street, in North Hollywood, California, one mile off the Penrose exit off the I-5 (Golden State) Freeway, and one mile north off the Sherman Way exit off the 170 (Hollywood) Freeway. We welcome your visit, whether you're an individual collector, a landscaper, a nursery buyer or just curious about what we do. If you would like to come by, all we ask is that you schedule an appointment during the following times: > Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM > Saturday: 9 AM - 4:00 PM You can tour our Greenhouses, Shadehouses, Field Growing Area and Display Garden to see what's growing. You may also want to sit in a quiet area with a book from our Cycad Library to do a little research on plants, and you will find a number new copies of these books available for sale as well in our Cycad Book Store. IMPORTANT: We operate by appointment, to ensure that someone knowledgeable is here to answer your questions, so please call (818) 759-0600 or email us at info@cycads.com to schedule a time for your visit. We are pretty thinly staffed, and often out on deliveries or pickups, so if you just show up without an appointment, we can't guarantee that someone will be here to give you access to the nursery. And here are some photographs below to let you know what you'll see when you visit...! WHAT IS CAUDEX SIZE? You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size. The caudex is a cycad’s woody, bulblike trunk, and caudex size is a good measure of cycad age. The chart below can give you a rough idea of how this translates to pot size.
