Lepidozamia Species

The tallest known cycad, Lepidozamia has been recorded at heights of 17.5 meters or 57.4 feet. Lepidozamia comes from the Greek lepidos, which means scaly (referring to the scalelike leaf bases and cataphylls on the stem) and zamia. There are only two species in this genus, both of which are from Australia.
