Encephalartos sp. Gorongosa

Our supplier has discovered a blue-green leafed plant native to the Gorongosa National Park in central Mozambique.

Gorongosa National Park is best known for its endemic bird species found only in the Gorongosa area. The park consist of three major ecological zones - the Rift zone, the Zambezi valley and the coastal plain of the Indian Ocean. Within these zones are various habitats including forests, waterfalls and flood plains all with their individual flora and fauna. It is thought that there are more than 500 animal species including more than 300 large mammal species in the park.
