| Encephalartos nubimontanus "Robustus" PlantsThis is the rarest and, some say, the most desireable form of E. nubimontanus, a plant said to now be extinct in the wild. This artificially propagated rarity is one of the few we were able to get in our final import of these highly regulated plants from South Africa this past year. WHAT IS CAUDEX SIZE? You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size. The caudex is a cycad’s woody, bulblike trunk, and caudex size is a good measure of cycad age. The chart below can give you a rough idea of how this translates to pot size.
