This plant is a marvelous cross between Encephalartos manikensis and Encephalartos gratus. E. manikensis is a large cycad that grows in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. E. gratus is found in northern Mozambique and southeastern Malawi, on steep slopes and in gorges near streams. This hybrid resulting from these two plants is a marvelous plant, exhibiting some of the best traits of each. Leaflets grow to 9 inches in length, broad, with small spines. We have attached a photograph of the plant, as well as a leaflet picture for you to see its size. These seeds have been harvested from artificially propagated plants in the United States. They are available for sale in the U.S.A. only at this time, as the permitting process for export is unfortunately quite extensive and not cost-effective at this point.
