Encephalartos gratus Plants

Encephalartos gratus PlantsThis robust medium-large cycad grows in the Mulanje mountains of Malawi and Mozambique, in deciduous forest, in rocky gorges, and slope, in a habitat receiving 40-70 inches of rain per year. Its trunk grows to 12 ft. tall, with dark green leaves, growing to 7 feet long, usually straight, with multispined leaflets straight, with a slight curve at the ends.

Encephalartos gratus grows well in both direct sun (with afternoon shade) and filtered light and requires excellent drainage.
