This is the original form of E. chimanimaniensis, an extremely rare Encephalartos from Binga Mountain, Mozambique. Its habitat is along the Mozambique-Zimbabwe border, with the remaining plants wedged into steep quartzite rock slopes in Mozambiqe. According to Douglas Goode, it has a very restricted distribution in the Chimanimani Mountains. WHAT IS CAUDEX SIZE? You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size.
