Dioon Seeds

The name Dioon comes from the Greek for "two eggs" and refers to female cones, which has two seeds attached to each sporophyll. This species of this intriguing, and generally blue, genus come from Mexico. That is, all except for Dioon mejiae which resides in habitat in Honduras.
