Dioon mejiae

Dioon mejiaeThis medium sized cycad - grows to a trunk height of over 3 feet tall - with stiff - erect leaves to over 6 feet long. Its leaflets are medium to dark green - and flat in profile. It is native to Honduras - and Nicaragua - growing in dry & rocky canyons. It enjoys a sunny - well drained position - in the tropics or sub-tropics. It is drought tolerant.
