Dioon caputoiDioon caputoi is a high altitude plant native to the mountains of Puebla, Mexico. It is an extremely rare plant, characterized by its heat, sun and cold tolerance, and its very fine comb-like leaves.

Dioon caputoi is one of the smallest and rarest Dioons. Its habitat is said to consist of fewer than 100 plants and it is considered extremely endangered. Dioon caputoi has very narrow and fine leaflets, widely spread along its rachis like the teeth of a comb, at a somewhat acute angle, blue-green in color. It is an excellent xeriscape plant.
