It grows larger and faster - endures much colder temperatures by growing insulation on its trunk and leaves and quickly recovers from frost - freeze or loss of leaves. It also rarely shows nutritional deficiencies. This plant is also more resistant to scale & mealy bugs than the Sago Palm. Cycas taitungensis grows in full sun to partial shade. It is the perfect xeriscape plant - and has very high salt water tolerance.
