This is the long-awaited book by Douglas Goode -- a complete treatment of African Cycads. Goode travelled to many hard to find (and sometimes perilous) locations to obtain photographs of some of the rarest African cycads. The photography in this book exposes readers to some of the first in-situ photographs of some species. We have a limited number of books available with slipcovers. A First Edition with Special Slipcover is an additional $10.00 WHAT IS CAUDEX SIZE? You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size. The caudex is a cycad’s woody, bulblike trunk, and caudex size is a good measure of cycad age. The chart below can give you a rough idea of how this translates to pot size.
