| Cycas SeedsCycas are native to Asia, the Pacific Islands, Australia and Africa (one species). The name Cycas comes from the Greek for palm, kykas. And true to its name, the Cycas genus is the most palm-like of all cycads. A beautiful and distinguishing feature of this genus are the emerging leaflets, which start out coiled and then slowly unfurl. Please Note: There are too many variables related to seeds for us to guarantee either germination rate or viability. So, we do not guarantee germination rates and there is no refund or exchange available for seed purchases. Please Note: All sales are limited to items available in stock at the time of your purchase and are subject to prior sale.
You’ll notice we list and price cycads by caudex size. The caudex is a cycad’s woody, bulblike trunk, and caudex size is a good measure of cycad age. The chart below can give you a rough idea of how this translates to pot size.
