Cycas pectinata was the fourth species of Cycas to be named - described in 1826. It is native to the hill forests of north-eastern India - and is also found in Nepal - Bhutan - northern Burma - southern China - and northern Thailand - Laos and Vietnam. This plant can grow to quite a specimen over time - from 3-40 feet tall. It has deep green - semiglossy leaves 5-8 feet long - with flat leaflets 10-15 inches long - 1/3--1/2 inch in width.
